My little sous chef :) When I'm in the kitchen she keeps me company this way.
I don't have much time to cook, so recipes like this have been a huge help to me:
Prep: 10 minutes
Cook: 60 minutes
Serves: 8 people
- 1 26-oz jar pasta sauce
- 1.5 cups water
- 1 15-oz container ricotta cheese
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 8 oz uncooked ziti pasta (I use whole wheat penne)
- 3-5 cloves of fresh pressed garlic (optional)
- sprinkle of basil
- sprinkle of oregano
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl combine sauce, water, ricotta, parmesan and 1 cup of the mozzarella. Mix together until blended. Add uncooked pasta.
- Spread mixture into 13×9 baking dish. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 55 minutes.
- Remove foil, sprinkle last cup of mozzarella, bake uncovered for 5 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
